FAQ

Does Restore close my current tabs?
No. Restore adds tabs to your current window; New Window opens them in a separate window.

Does it track me or use analytics?
No. TabWars does not collect or send data to us.

How does Pro activation work?
If you choose to activate Pro, the extension calls Gumroad’s API once to verify your license key. That’s it.

Summary

TabWars stores your saved sessions locally in your browser and does not collect, sell, or share personal data. No analytics, no tracking.

Data we handle

• Stored locally (on your device):
  • Session data: tab titles, URLs, favicons
  • Settings: selected theme, sound on/off, license key (if you activate Pro), last license check timestamp
• Sent to us: None. We don’t run servers for this extension.
• Network requests (optional): If you activate Pro, the extension sends your license key to Gumroad (/v2/licenses/verify) to validate it. We do not store personal data from this response.

Payments

All payments are processed by Gumroad. We do not receive your payment details. Please see Gumroad’s privacy policy for how they handle buyer information.

Permissions (Chrome)

• tabs — to save & restore your tabs
• storage — to keep sessions/settings locally

Your controls

• Delete sessions any time (🗑️ Delete) or uninstall the extension to remove all local data.
• Export/Import lets you back up or move sessions between devices.
• Pro users can remove the stored license by clearing extension data or uninstalling.

Not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
